South West FSB Policy glossary

Translation aid for official documents

Every group has its own language and Government has several!

Members can find local council or government meetings or seminars hard work because of the language. The same goes for their documents.

Below is a small glossary of many of the common terms members meet when dealing with the public sector.

However, as it is impossible to cover everything, there is also a link to the Glossary at the Guardian at the bottom of the page.

Between the 2 you should be covered, but if you have any problems or cannot find the the one you want, please contact Vivienne Rayner
