SW Policy Weekend - February 25th to 27th

We are asking each FSB region to send up to 8 members and we want half of them to be people not currently involved with Policy.

The FSB is changing the way 'Policy' within the FSB is structured. This Weekend has been revamped to enable members to help shape how we will work in future.

Speakers include Mike Cherry, FSB National Policy Chairman, Dave Stallon, FSB National Secretary and John Walker, National Chairman.

Heart of the South West - Devon and Somerset Local Enterprise Partnership

Delivering growth and prosperity across Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay

Business leaders and local authorities from Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay are making their case for the South West to be at the heart of government plans for future business and economic growth.

Following the announcement that Regional Development Agencies were to be scrapped, the Government wrote to businesses and local authorities inviting them to work together to propose new "Local Enterprise Partnerships".

In response to this invitation, business leaders met with the public sector and have been working on a draft prospectus which is very much the starting point for the partnership.

Gaining input from businesses, individuals and organisations within the local community about the proposal for the partnership is vital. Feedback, comments and endorsements are the next steps in the process.

A copy of the draft prospectus is available here

Please let me have your comments by February 16th at vivienne.rayner@fsb.org.uk
