The Scottish Policy Unit (SPU), working with policy and parliamentary staff, ensures that the small business sector's voice is heard at all levels of government in Scotland, by developing a coherent and evidence-based case to put to politicians and civil servants.
SPU is made up of two representative from each of the FSB Scotland's four regions. It meets on a monthly basis, with policy and parliamentary staff, to discuss the campaigning work of the organisation, and decide the priorities for action. Members of SPU also represent FSB Scotland at meetings with politicians and officials, and on various government bodies.
FSB Scotland members are able to feed in concerns or points of view on policy issues to the SPU, through FSB Scotland's branch and regional structure.
