Real needs for real entrepreneurs

Real needs for real entrepreneurs

We need to boost growth, reduce welfare dependency and provide new opportunities for people who find themselves locked out of the jobs market. Entrepreneurial spirit exists across society, but some need more specific support.

Championing all Real-Life Entrepreneurs, we have teamed up with organisations to nurture and promote entrepreneurship wherever it may be found and to help give these people the specific requirements they need.

Young Enterprise

Young entrepreneurs

More than three quarters of 11 to 18 year olds say they would like to start their own business in the future. The FSB and Young Enterprise believe that education should have a focus on enterprise. Find out more.

everywoman

Female entrepreneurs

Only 29 per cent of entrepreneurs in the world are women. The FSB and everywoman believe that more women should be championed as entrepreneurs to help create 150,000 more firms. Find out more.

heropreneurs

Ex-forces entrepreneurs

Each year, approximately 24,000 men and women leave the Armed Forces to begin their life as    civilians. The FSB and Heropreneurs believe that these people should be supported in setting up their    own business. Find out more.

New Deal of the Mind

New Deal of the Mind entrepreneurs

Given the choice, most people would rather create a job for themselves than remain on Jobseekers Allowance. The FSB and New Deal of the Mind believe that these people should be encouraged to go it alone. Find out more

Prime

Over 50s entrepreneurs

Almost four million of people aged 50 – 64 are out of work – of which 400,000 each year plan to start their own business. The FSB and PRIME believe everyone aged 50+ has the opportunity for financial, social and personal fulfilment through sustainable self employment. Find out more
