Skills 30:30 - Help bridge the gap between schools and businesses

Over a quarter of FSB members say that finding appropriately skilled staff is the biggest challenge to business growth.

We’re working with the Government to make it easier for small businesses to get involved in inspiring young people about apprenticeships and the world of work.

In Kent, we offer a practical way for businesses to engage with education through Skills 30:30.

In this two-hour event, businesses hear from a local authority and relevant recruitment groups, while students take part in an employment-related workshop. Then both groups get together for facilitated speed-networking.

Join in to find out about local developments AND share your business advice and expertise with students.

TESTMONIALS

The Leigh Academies, Head of Post 16: “Thank you so much for organising Skills 30:30, it was such a success. The students were really buzzing with the advice and guidance they were given. Some of those students really put themselves out of their comfort zone and blossomed”.

Pam Manwaring, Orchard Garage: “I really enjoyed it. Some of the students were nervous but they conducted themselves so well. It was brilliant to hear their plans and ambitions and so good to hear so many with entrepreneurial spirit. Very impressed.”
