FSB Enterprise Award - North West
RADCLIFFE entrepreneur Mark Livsey has been named winner of the North West's FSB Enterprise Award – and intends to use his prize membership to the full.

The 30-year-old overcame a serious disability and discrimination to launch a successful business with help from the Prince's Trust. He was handed the FSB-sponsored top award at the Prince's Trust Celebrate Success Awards, held at Ewood Park, the home of Blackburn Rovers.
FSB Greater Manchester South chairman Richard Gregg (right), accompanied by League Managers' Association chief executive Richard Bevan (left), handed Mark (centre) his award for developing his business Parcel Partners. He was also given a free 12-month membership of the FSB.
Proud
Richard said: "We are very proud to be associated with the Prince's Trust and
congratulations to Mark. We've given him membership so that he can enjoy the benefits enjoyed by more than 213,000 other people and wish him all the best for the future."
Mark said: "I've known about the FSB for some time and membership was something I was looking into. I will be using the membership fully to help the business."
Talking about his award win, he added: "The most important thing about this award is the feeling of acceptance. When people put that effort into you, it's really good – it makes you feel 10ft tall."
Rejection
Mark believed he was being rejected at the interview stage for jobs after being diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at the age of 18. By his mid-20s, Mark was registered disabled and turned to the Prince's Trust for help.
He recognised a need for a parcel delivery company in the area and, with the aid of business mentor Ray Hill, now has a business with 20 delivery vans and clients including FedEx and City Link.
The award ceremony was attended by a host of stars from the world of football, including Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce, and Professional Footballers' Association boss Gordon Taylor.
Speaking via a video message at the end of the ceremony, HRH Prince Charles thanked sponsors for their support. He said: "We are utterly indebted to sponsors who have come forward in these difficult times. I think it's crucial to recognise their efforts, just as it is the achievements of those winning awards today. To all of our sponsors – I am extremely grateful."
