Keep Trade Local - Supporting Oxfordshire Businesses

Keep_Trade_Local

The FSB is urging everyone to consider local businesses first when buying services or goods,

to help local firms get through the economic downturn.

Across the UK small businesses are already under pressure to survive as the following statistics show:

  • 2000 local shops are closing each year
  • 3000 post offices face closure
  • Around 27 pubs a week are closing
  • 42% of English towns and villages no longer have a shop of any kind

The Oxfordshire branch has launched the Keep Trade Local campaign across the county with support from local town chambers and media. The campaign has already visited Banbury, Bicester, Witney & Abingdon. If you would like the FSB to support your local business community or would like to find out how you can help the campaign contact Sue Day.
