Events
The Derby Branch of the FSB is delighted to announce the details of three upcoming Business Events aimed at providing support to all of our members.
You do not need to commit to all three events at once. (The events planned to date are below) 2012 is a year when positive business collaborations will need to be at a heightened level for our region's SME business sector to thrive.
Our key goal is to provide FREE events to our members throughout 2012, to ensure you step away from your business every few weeks and engage with other like-minded business owners. Share stories, network, support one another and take away TOP TIPs from each event.
The details of the first event on Wednesday 25th January at 7.00pm to 9.00pm are below.
These new TOP TIP Business Events will be hosted by Julian Smith of The Alternative Board, who is based in Derby. He will organise speakers, who are all business owners themselves, to come and share their TOP TIPs, expertise and business insights on a regular basis.

• Paul Kirby from Octopus Public Relations will provide TOP TIPS on effective communication strategies
• Hannah Sookias from Sookias Media will provide TOP TIPS on effective brand strategies
• Paul Harris the author of The Power of Being Real will share his TOP TIPS for building up networks through authentic relationships and networks
• Julian Smith from The Alternative Board will share his TOP TIPS on how to effectively plan your business to succeed and maximise the value
• Andrew Coates from Strategic Corporate Finance will share TOP TIPS on how you can understand the real value of your business
• Tony Miles from Milestone Solutions – How to make best use of Key Performance Indicators
Event Two
29th February 7.00pm to 9.00pm
A full hour dedicated to TOP TIPs on MARKETING.
‘Effective marketing tips to efficiently and cost effectively market your business and generate the right leads'
• Hannah Sookias of Sookias Media and Lee Callender of Mail Magic will both be sharing their thoughts, insights and expertise on effective and strategic Marketing Plan development. Social Media platforms to Email marketing platforms, which will have a very positive affect on your business in 2012.

11th April 7.00pm to 9.00pm

‘PLAN, PLAN and PLAN again! How to develop successful 2012 Business Plans that will work for you and ensure your business goals are achieved and make 2012 a launch pad for greater success'
