This month is the first of our three Whitby based meetings this year. Where we will focus on matters of particular interest to local members We are delighted to welcome Gareth Edmunds from Sirius Minerals, and a representative from the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Local Enterprise Partnership.
Gareth will be presenting on plans for the potash mine, covering the implications for the area and what the opportunities and timescales are.
The York North Yorkshire and East Riding LEP will be presenting a general update on their work, again looking at how you can get involved and benefit from their plans and initiatives. Accompanying the LEP representative will be George Bellas - Chairman of Craven and District Branch of the Federation of Small Businesses. George will be looking at the benefits of working together and business networking, highlighting what has worked well, or not, since he took the Chairmanship in 2010.
