Welcome

The North West Area Policy Unit (NW APU) brings together the FSB regions of Manchester and North Cheshire, Merseyside and West Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria and members from the Chester branch. The NW APU holds meetings approximately every two months and holds its annual meeting in May of each year.

In addition to regional representatives in the north west, the NW APU also has members with specialist knowledge and interest amongst its members. The principal focus for the NW APU is in seeking to influence the work of government and its agencies in the region. In doing this it works closely with the North West Development Agency, North West Business Link, Government Office for the North West and several other regional and local organisations.

The NW APU is supported by a policy manager who works closely with colleagues and members in the three regions to ensure north west policy issues are developed and promoted as effectively as possible.
