The Greater Manchester South Branch draws its 2565 members from in and around Stalybridge, Stockport, Sale, Knutsford, Middlewich, Macclesfield, Ashton-under-Lyne, Altrincham, Hyde and Manchester. The members run stables, breweries, bakeries and engineering workshops. They offer services including car maintenance and repairs, event management, hire cars, bookkeeping and cartoon animation. They keep open local shops selling hearing aids, hi-fi equipment, food, greetings cards and fashion. They own companies that employ over 90 people and some of them work on their own. Somewhere in the area you will be able to buy almost anything, dine out on almost every cuisine or find someone who can help you with almost anything. Stockport Portas Pilot Bid

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has over six hundred members in Stockport and is delighted to support the market town's Portas Pilot bid.
