Published tariff win for FSB as CMA announces energy market remedies

Commenting on the Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) provisional remedies for the Energy Market following an extensive investigation, Sandra Dexter, National Vice-Chairman for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), said:

“FSB welcomes CMA plans to require energy suppliers to publish their microbusiness tariffs and to tackle restrictive auto-rollover contracts. These are issues the FSB has campaigned on for many years.

“However, we are extremely disappointed that the CMA has not addressed third party intermediary regulation, something the FSB believes would promote greater trust for this important sector.”
