Small businesses to be innovative to remain competitive during the 2012 Games

With only 100 days to go until the opening of the London 2012 Games, the Federation of Small Businesses is calling for more information from Games Authorities to enable small businesses to remain competitive during the six week-long event. Almost two thirds (62%) of respondents to an FSB survey of London members see the Games as a "good thing". But, survey data has shown that 42 per cent of respondents cannot make any adjustments to business operations during the Games.

The FSB has launched its 'Voice of Small Business' Member survey. Despite tough economic conditions, new figures show that over seven in 10 small businesses in London have introduced new or improved products and services over the past two years, but the economy is preventing six in 10 from achieving growth this year.  Read our Press Release, The London Report and the national report.
