Our round of AGM's for the Branches and the Lincolnshire Region is finally over!
We have a few new faces on our Committee teams around the Region and I welcome these members to their new roles, whether if it's just to be on the Committee, or as an Officer position on that Committee. They do have a valuable contribution to make to our Federation. We are always looking for more members to take up roles as activists, if you could not make one of these recent meetings and would like to be involved please make contact with your local Branch Committee or Kris Hippey at our Lincoln Office.
It is your Federation and Region. We accommodate everybody, from the sole proprietor enterprise, up to an employee base of 250.
Make your membership count and be heard amongst your 200,000 fellow members.
Yes- you can make a difference. Just see the news with regards to the slashing by 50% of the Tolls over the Humber Bridge from the 1st April. One of our members, Dick Herzberg, has spent hours lobbying through our Policy Committee through local media (TV,Radio, Press) and time in London pressing for a change in the Toll and Bridge debt structure.
Our thanks and recognition go to Dick for his hard work through the FSB, and for the help in getting a result.
Our National AGM and Conference will be held in Scarborough from the 22nd to the 24th of March 2012. Lincolnshire is renowned for putting very important business motions to Conference and we want 2012 to be no exception.
If you have a burning political issue you think should be put forward, please advise us by the 13th January 2012.
