The Financial Ombudsman Service for Small Businesses
You may be familiar with the Ombudsman Service as a free complaints resolution service for consumers in dispute with financial firms such as banks, insurance companies, life offices, independent financial advisors and mortgage and insurance brokers.
However, you may not be aware that the same Ombudsman Service is available to small businesses on the same terms. Any business with a group annual turnover of less than £1 million at the time the complaint is first made - including sole traders, limited liability companies and partnerships - can use the service.
