Environment Responsibility Award - kindly sponsored by

The judges of this award will look for the business that can best demonstrate a company-wide commitment to minimising its impact on the environment. They will expect to see evidence of a clearly articulated and widely communicated environmental strategy embedded in the company's business practices, together with policies that improve business performance and innovative approaches to environmental management.

This award is to recognise businesses that make a positive contribution to protecting or improving the environment.  Tell us how you encourage employees or customers to act in an eco-friendly manner and/or long-term strategies that are in place to minimise your business's impact on the environment.

The judges are looking for any of the following:

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT - Minimising the environmental impact of your operations through a reduction in emissions (liquid, solid and gas).

LONG TERM IMPACT - Reducing the long-term environmental impact of the product through design, innovation and manufacturing techniques

RECYCLING - Re-use and recycling of waste and raw materials including supply chain initiatives and waste exchange.

LOCAL INITIATIVES - Initiatives in partnership with the local community, including education, either at community or company level.

PROJECTS - Environmental projects which contribute to the economic regeneration of the region.
