Contributions to the Community Award

 

This award is to recognise those enterprises that have "given something back to the local community".   The award will go to the business that can demonstrate they have made a committed and proactive contribution to their community in 2009 . 

 

The judges will be interested in all the different aspects both individually and through the company they run or in which they are employed including volunteering and corporate social responsibility.  

 

The judges will be looking at what you/they have done and specifically at the outcome.   Examples could include charitable activities, providing recreational facilities, working with young people.

 

What the judges will be looking for:

 

CONTRIBUTION:  Why the project(s) has a positive impact on the local community, economy or environment.

 

COMMITMENT:  Explain what the legacy any existing project(s) is intended to have on the local community and your ongoing commitment to ensure it continues.

 

FUTURE PLANS:  Detailed evidence of future plans or future projects your company has planned.

 

FACTORS:  What inflenced you to get involved in making a difference in your local community.

 

INPUT CONTRIBUTION:   The contribution your company has made in terms of time and effort.
