Welcome from Paul Foster, Development Manager in Lancashire & Cumbria

We are busy at the moment, planning activities which will progress the issues which members have told us are of the greatest concern. My role is to campaign on your behalf to make sure that the issues affecting your business are addressed. Please do get in touch with me to raise issues that are affecting your business, more often than not there are ways we can take up an issue for you and help you to progress it with people who can make a difference. You can contact me on 07917 628909 or at paul.foster@fsb.org.uk.
Latest news from the Region
Our members survey from earlier this summer highlighted the key issues affecting small businesses across Lancashire and Cumbria. The key issues members identified were broadband access and availability; rising energy costs; red tape & regulation and the general state of the local economy. We are actively looking at ways to take these issues forward on behalf of members and have already held a members meeting with Lancashire County Council to look at the broadband issue. Additional meetings and events are being explored at present so please check back here for updates. Members will of course be invited to help us progress activities going forward as we meet with key influencers, decision-makers and politicians.
Directory and Email
Is your business in the FSB Online Directory? Don't miss out - go to the top of this page and click on Directory, then on Update your details. You'll need your membership number and V code.
And while you're there, please consider giving us permission to contact you by email. We promise not to flood your In Box, and this is a very useful way of updating you on short notice events or scams.
What do you think about ....
Do you have an opinion about the issues affecting your business? Do you want to do something about them?
Then you are invited to join with other FSB members in shaping those opinions into policies that can change the way those issues impact on your business.
The FSB's Policy Team in the North West is forming a number of focus groups to operate informally and, where possible, on line and by telephone. Face to face meetings will be kept to an absolute minimum so as not to take up more of your time than is necessary. Read more.
