The FSB's Highlands and Islands Region covers 15% of the UK and 44% of Scotland – an area larger than Belgium and Luxembourg combined. It's small, widely dispersed population, mountainous landscape, poor transport network and distance from markets presents the region and its businesses with some significant challenges.

The FSB is by far the largest business organisation in this region and we also cover every corner of it.

Our role as a Region is simple: to work tirelessly on behalf of our members to lobby governments, the public sector and other interests on issues that hold our members back, preventing them from reaching their full potentials. Our aim is the make the Highlands & Islands an inviting and rewarding place for small business to start up or relocate to, and to thrive and grow thereafter.
