Speeding up in the slowdown
The FSB is always looking to find new ways to provide advice to members on how to improve their business, particularly during an economic downturn. As part of these efforts, the FSB has teamed up with search engine Google for the launch of their small business microsite full of hints and tips of how best to use the internet in order to market, promote and improve your business.
Our latest biennial survey of 8,700 members found that almost half of small businesses that use the internet to advertise their firm increase their turnover by one fifth. The survey also revealed that the number of small businesses who have their own website has leapt by a quarter to around 70 per cent since the last survey.
You can find out more about how to make the best use of the internet by visiting the site, www.google.co.uk/speedup, where you can find out how to build and improve your own website and read a foreword from FSB National Chairman John Wright.
