The South West Gold Club Golf Competition took place at Libbaton Golf Club - a testing 6,480-yard par 73 course in the heart of north Devon's beautiful countryside, near Barnstaple.
Home win
Organiser Henry Joynson, a long-retired colonel from a cavalry regiment, won on his home course.
Henry, who is vice-chairman of the Mid-Devon branch and is a former National Councillor, has a handicap of 27.
Last year, Henry won the Devon Veterans Golf Association Annual Cup.
Slow start
Frank Stone was runner-up and the graphic designer also plays at Libbaton. He has a handicap of 28 and won the Devon event last year.
Frank said: "I had a very slow start but managed to collect 20 points on the back nine."
