Keep your membership card somewhere accessible and safe.

On your membership card you will find a code which allows you access to member-only sections of the website.  Add your details to the online directory.  This will allow other members to find your business when seeking a product or service.  See www.fsb.org.uk and give small businesses your business.

Hang your certificate in a prominent place.  It is a reminder to inspectors and visitors that you are protected and it will let other members know that you are a member.

FSB Legal Advice

IN ANY ISSUE WHICH MAY RESULT IN LEGAL ACTION BY YOU OR AGAINST YOU, CONTACT THE LEGAL HELPLINE BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE (you will need to quote your membership number).

Contact the Legal Helpline the moment you have a letter or visit from either the Inland Revenue or Customs and Excise indicating that an investigation is about to take place.

Use the FSB legal website for more information such as sample contracts, letters etc

FSB Member Services

Remember that there is much more to the FSB Member Services than the Legal Helpline.  To get real value for money, check out the Benefits web page and take full advantage of the benefits offered.  Business banking, merchant service, insurance, financial advice, credit card, deposit account, etc

Join a discussion forum on a topic that interests you, check out current forums via the website

FSB Publications

Regional Voice, First Voice and Business Network provide articles that are relevant to your business and help you to keep up to date with current legislation, reports, procedures, funding, protection and policies.  You will also find guidance on other valuable sources of information.

FSB Lobbying

The FSB is a lobbying organisation and that means we value your views on current issues. You can contribute to campaigns by completing questionnaires sent to you by the FSB or by providing case studies. Visit the website to read recent press releases, publications and articles.

FSB Local issues

Do you have a particular interest, such as local planning, construction, transport?  Would you like to represent the FSB's views on a local panel or committee? Contact your Branch Secretary.

FSB: Your Region

Look out for events and activities in your region and attend those of interest to you and your business.  You will meet enthusiastic and energetic people and rarely go home without having learnt something of interest or made a useful contact.

FSB:  You

The FSB is made up of people like you, people with conviction, with knowledge, with skills and experience. What could be better than getting to know them?
