Manufacturers in Essex are being offered free help to overhaul their business and improve their chance of success in today's challenging economic times.
Practical, one-to-one support is available from experienced advisers, using structured approaches designed specifically for small and medium-sized manufacturers, to help them deal with falling revenues, shrinking margins and rising competition.
Essex Manufacturing Innovation and Growth Programme
The Essex Manufacturing Innovation and Growth Programme aims to help existing small and medium sized manufacturing firms to develop and grow their business in a financially sustainable manner.
Manufacturing firms includes manufacturers who produce a product, as well as companies who have built a service around a product e.g. music downloads for MP3 players.
Over 3 years, the programme will target 150 such companies employing between 10 and 150 employees, who have aspirations to develop and grow their business.
Individual support will be provided for these firms by University of Cambridge Institute for Manufacturing (IfM).
The IfM has worked with small and medium-sized manufacturers for many years, helping them to increase their competitiveness and achieve success.
