Tourism and Leisure Industry Business Briefing and Network Event
This event was held at the Kingscliff Hotel, 55 Kings Parade, Holland-on-Sea, Essex CO15 5JB and was a partnership event with Business Link East, Tendring District Council, East of England Business Group and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service
A total of 53 business people were present and welcomed by Tendring Council Leader Councillor David Lines and Essex FSB Chairman Iain Wicks.
FSB Service providers Steve Colley of ASC Finance and Colin Perkins of Towergate Insurance were both present to provide advice to those attending including details of the special offers available to FSB members.
Presentations
Briefings included:
- The services available from Business Link to support businesses in the current economic climate were explained by Christian Bone, Business Link Partnership Director.
- How to win business in 2009 – the Sunshine Coast Campaign was a joint presentation between Lee Pugh and Sally Looker from Tendring District Council.
- The new Fire Safety Regulations affecting the hotel and tourism industry and how you can comply was explored by Dave Perry of Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.
- The FSB - its fee free banking, tax investigation assistance, lobbying work and other services for members was explained by FSB Recruiter Brian Allen.
There was also the opportunity to enjoy free buffet and network with other local businesses.
The vote of thanks was given by Essex FSB Vice Chairman Polly Weeks.
