Essex FSB has worked closely with fellow business organisations, the Essex Business Consortium and local councils to develop a Local Enterprise Partnership proposal to meet the Government's criteria.

Essex FSB played a leading role in developing and fine tuning the final proposal which was submitted on Monday 06 September 2010 with the full support of Essex FSB.

The Greater Essex and Kent LEP proposal is the ONLY proposal supported by Essex FSB.

On Thursday 28 October 2010 the Government approved the Greater Essex and Kent LEP proposal, a decision which was warmly welcomed by Essex FSB.
