Essex FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) has welcomed the successful launch of a new networking group at The Cauliflower Public House Function Suite, 553 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1TZ in September 2009.
Chairman of the South West Essex Branch of the FSB, David Miles, said: "The first meeting of the Ilford Network Group attracted a wide range of businesses from archive storage to graphic design, car park security to carpentry and electricians, web design to financial services and vehicle leasing.
"With more than a dozen different business people present this is a great nucleus for a successful network group which Essex FSB will be continuing to support.
"Networking is a great way for small businesses to make new contacts for future referrals leading to new customers as well as being an opportunity to share ideas and concerns with other small business owners.
"The function room at The Cauliflower is an excellent location for such meetings and is a venue we will be using in the future for other events too."
Network Group Organiser, Gary Gould, said: "Accounting Financial Services (UK) Limited is pleased to sponsor this network group which means there is no membership fee to join and not even a charge for the refreshments which are served.
"The group will be meeting every fortnight and any business in East London can come along and see if the group will benefit them – all we ask is that you book in at Essex Events so we know numbers for catering purposes.
"We are pleased to have the support of Essex FSB for these meetings as we believe their Keep Trade Local campaign is one which makes a lot of sense enabling companies to work together and to provide goods and services to each other while reducing their carbon footprint."
