Councils have a statutory duty to consult with representatives of the business community before finally agreeing their budget each year.

Consultation Meetings 

Essex FSB aims to have a representative at each such consultation meeting and every council receives a list of questions on issues relevant to small businesses.

Budget Planning

As councils begin the budget planning process each autumn Essex FSB representatives contact the councils in Essex, Havering and Redbridge with details of suggestions from businesses for inclusion in the budget for the next financial year.
