Eastbourne, Lewes and Wealden Branch AGM

 

The AGM took place at the English Wine Centre, near Alfriston and this was followed by dinner accompanied by English wine with each course.

 

Simon Muggleton and Brian Lockie (pictured left) from the Centre expertly guided the audience through the background to each wine and, following the meal, guest of honour, Councillor Steve Saunders, the Mayor of Newhaven, drew the raffle in aid of ‘People Matter', which helps find unemployed people work in the branch area.

Arthur Mapletoft, Branch Chairman (pictured right, flanked by the Mayor of Newhaven and Lord Brett McLean) reported on a successful and busy year of networking events, political lobbying (including a Business Accord signing with Eastbourne Borough Council) and business exhibitions including the EXPO at East Sussex National Golf resort. Arlene Leake was welcomed onto the Branch Committee as Treasurer.
