The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) in Scotland represents the interests of almost 20,000 Scottish members.

Official Scottish Government statistics show that Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) now account for 99% of all Scottish businesses and for over half of all private sector employment – underlining the pivotal role of small firms in our economy and communities.

The FSB in Scotland therefore campaigns for a better social, political and economic environment in which to work, learn and do business.  With a strong grassroots structure, regular members' meetings and dedicated Scottish staff to deal with Scottish institutions, media and politicians, the  FSB in Scotland is widely recognised as one of the most influential business organisations in Scotland.

Scottish members are encouraged to contribute to the FSB's policy-making process by taking advantage of the FSB's member-led infrastructure: from local branches, through regions to the Scottish Policy Unit (SPU).  You can find out who your SPU representative is by clicking on the sidebar.

The FSB team in the Scottish Press and Parliamentary Office represent member driven policy at all levels of Scottish public life, informing politicians, the media, Ministers and officials in the devolved institutions about the effect their actions could be having on Scottish small businesses.
