Paul Formstone, Regional Chairman

The Surrey and West Sussex Region are delighted to announce that Paul Formstone is the New Regional Chairman.


Paul has been a member of the FSB since 2003 and has been Farnham Branch Chairman for the past couple of years.


Paul is responsible for the much loved Kick Start event and also for the region taking a stand at the Surrey County Show.


As Regional Chairman Paul is planning bigger and better things. 

 

We have a fast expanding membership with just over 10,500 members in the Surrey & West Sussex Region and with these numbers, we are keen to promote the small business view to the authorities in the area.

Surrey Economic Partnership in conjunction with the FSB and other partners have secured funding for a new initiative -  FUTURE JOBS FUND

Future Jobs Fund (FJF) is a central government initiative designed to address youth unemployment. Nationally, it aims to create 170,000 additional jobs for 18-24 year olds who have been out of work for 6-12 months. The jobs are intended to deliver real benefits to communities. FJF forms part of the Young Person's Guarantee and the overarching Backing Young Britain campaign.

Employing a young and inquisitive member of your team; shaping their development and encouraging their confidence in the world of work

Most Small Business Friendly Award goes to.......

 

Chichester District Council are the winners of the FSB South East Small Business Friendly Council award.

 

During 2009, the FSB invited local authorities to take part in the Small Business Friendly Awards scheme. Its purpose was to highlight examples of best practice being employed by councils in support of small businesses and local economic development.

The new service comes on top of the FSB's current raft of benefits available to members including its popular 24 hour legal helpline, insurance services, business banking and finance for business.

 


 

Are you eligible for rate relief?

Time is running out to claim!

Relief is only available for a solely occupied property up to £15,000 RV. That is just one property - one rates bill. The ratepayer must apply to the billing authority (local council) for the relief - it will not happen automatically.
