The West Yorkshire Region has over 5,700 members and consists of five branches: Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, and Wakefield each covering its metropolitan local authority area.

The West Yorkshire Region is represented on the FSB's Yorkshire and Humber Area Policy Unit (APU) which addresses small-business interests with Yorkshire-wide agencies such as Business Link Yorkshire and Yorkshire Forward.

The West Yorkshire National Councillor, Mike Salamon, is an elected director on the FSB's national governing body.
