Lorraine writes weekly columns for The Sun and The Sunday Post, and contributes to a raft of women's and lifestyle magazines. Away from the daytime schedule she has appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and presented Have I Got News For You.

Lorraine said that it was lovely to see everyone and thanked them for coming along.  She said that the big talking point over the past couple of days has been the impact of the recession on small businesses.

She welcomed Nigel Eaton, Head of SME Payment Solutions at VISA Europe to the stage and thanked him for coming along.  He gave an overview as to the services that VISA Europe supply to small businesses. 

John Wright was then welcomed to the stage and Lorraine Kelly asked him a number of questions with regard to his time as National Chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses.
