REGIONAL OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR (required for 3-4 days per week, 10am – 2pm with some flexibility)
Gloucestershire and West of England
Salary £18,000.00 per annum pro rata

 

We are seeking to recruit a Regional Office Administrator at our Gloucestershire and West of England Regional Office to provide administrative support to the Region and Branch Committees, along with management of the administrative workload within the Regional Office.

 

The Regional Office Administrator's key areas of accountability include:
• Assisting the Development Manager, where required, with the Regional retention strategy and planning the Regional event schedule, in addition to providing cover for the Regional Secretary as agreed.
• Responsibility for the planning, organisation and administration for Regional and branch events and responding to ad hoc telephone and written enquiries.
• Ensuring excellent communication within the Region so that all active members, the Development Manager and recruiters have the required information.
• Updating Regional web pages and assist with financial administration as required.

 

The ideal candidate will:
• Demonstrate sound administration experience with experience of managing administration processes for a small office and working alone desirable.
• Have sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications along with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Display prior experience in event organisation.
• Be flexible, as the role may include occasional travel to other FSB sites and out of hours work.

Dynamics CRM Developer
Flexible Location
Fixed term (approximately 12 months)
Salary up to £38,000.00 per annum

 

We are seeking to recruit a Dynamics CRM Developer into an exciting new, fixed term role. The post holder will support and develop the FSB's Microsoft Dynamics CRM system and related business software.

 

The Dynamics CRM Developer's key areas of accountability include:
• Analysing business requirements and designing system solutions.
• Testing software changes and supporting business users on user testing.
• Developing a detailed understanding of the FSB's Business Information System and providing technical support where required.
• Where appropriate, providing a technical lead on the development of FSB IT systems.

 

The ideal candidate will:
• Be educated to degree level with substantial experience in supporting and developing MS Dynamics CRM systems and a sound understanding of a development project life cycle.
• Have a good general understanding of software languages and development methods in addition to knowledge of Object Oriented design.
• Be skilled in .NET development, databases and web services with SharePoint application development and exposure to RAD techniques desirable.
• Be flexible as travel to functions and events across the UK will be required in addition to occasional evening and weekend work.

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (Greater London)

Home Based

£38,000 plus benefits

 

An integral part of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB's) field-based operations team, you will promote the organisation and its aims and objectives. You will work closely with the members communicating, engaging and listening to their views and backing their interests through liaison with government at all levels and relevant media, making a  difference on behalf of members locally.

 

The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre, will demonstrate a sound understanding of small business needs, opportunities and challenges. It is important to understand the decision making process in local government bodies and you will have a proven ability to develop trusting relationships across a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

 

The postholder will be expected to:

• Identify, research, develop and promote policy on issues as they arise, including representing the FSB with members   at  external meetings and promoting the advantages of membership.
• Develop a strong presence in the local and regional media to deliver the key messages on national and local campaigns/ policies by working closely with the relevant press department.
• Utilise the results of local and national data to identify key business issues in order to support media, advocacy, recruitment and retention activities.
• Provide excellent customer service through effective signposting and provision of relevant information if appropriate when dealing with issues raised by members.
• Develop proactive working relationships with the recruitment team keeping them informed on local activities and highlighting opportunities.


It is essential that you are self-motivated as this role is home-based; your home base must be located within the Greater London area. You must have a full driving licence and access to a car for regular travel within the area plus the facility to offer suitable home office workspace. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
