STRONG SHOWING AT SHROPSHIRE BUSINESS MEETING

Entrepreneurs from across Shropshire turned out in force at a free meeting held in Telford last week by a leading business support group.

Around 50 business owners attended the March meeting of the Shropshire branch of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) at Meeting Point House, Southwater Square.

The free to attend event was open to all local business owners, not just current members of the FSB, and offered delegates valuable networking opportunities and the chance to raise their profile with numerous potential customers and suppliers.

In addition, guest speaker Terry Le Long, of NLS Shropshire Ltd, who is also the Shropshire, Staffordshire and Mid-Wales regional chairman of professional body the Society of Will Writers (SWW), outlined a variety of issues surrounding wills, probate, and power of attorney, which can often have knock-on effects for business owners.

"We had a great turnout at the meeting, these sessions really do offer local business owners of all sizes and sectors a real chance to catch up with fellow like-minded entrepreneurs," Ray Hickinbottom, Vice Chairman of the FSB's Shropshire Branch, commented. "Our next event will be held on April 18th between 5.30pm and 7.00pm at Anglo House in Stourport. As space is limited, we'd ask anyone interested in attending to reserve a place in advance by either emailing me on ray.hickinbottom@fsb.org.uk or telephoning 07733 603052."

Formed in 1974, the Federation of Small Businesses is the UK's largest campaigning pressure group promoting and protecting the interests of the self-employed and owners of small firms. It now has more than 200,000 members across 33 regions and 194 branches. For further information, please visit the website www.fsb.org.uk.
