FSB Research Shows small firms in London are facing crippling interest rate levels on loans and overdrafts - February 2012

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB)has released its Pan London Voice of Business reportandfound that one in five (21%) small businesses in London, that have taken an overdraft/loan in the past 12 months, were paying an interest rate of 15% or more. Only 7%of UK businesses were paying a rate of 15% or more.

 

A third of London members with a loan or overdraft are paying an interest rate between 7% and 9%.The average business in London ispaying arate of 9%, compared to 7% across the UK as a whole.
