Conference 2008

David BellamyWith care of the environment currently at the top of the political agenda, it is only fitting that the theme of FSB's annual Conference this year was ‘Small Business and the Environment’.

The conference and AGM was held at the Novatel London West and here we have a pretty much complete record of events including writeups, images and videos of the events. The videos are not short summaries but complete records - with the Policy video being over an hour long. If you missed the conference - this is your chance to catch up and be a part of this important event.

Leading the debate on the issue of the environmnt on Friday was no other than the well known botanist, environmental campaigner and TV personality, David Bellamy.

MAYORAL QUESTION TIME featured our renowned question time panel,  chaired by none other than Moira Stuart, former BBC newsreader and a true professional if ever there was one. The event was lively - with Boris Johnson MP, showing us how to turn a 3 minute speech into 6 minutes!  See the video.

As well as a host of main events, fringe meetings/workshops  provided information and education for all small business owners. It is not all business though, and in the evenings our members let their hair down.  Friday night saw the regional darts competition night and members were pitted against former world champion Eric Bristow with Jim Bowen compering his usual ‘Bullseye’ on the same evening.

Novatel

Saturday saw a typical capital city diamond and tiara banquet and ball, with an excellent singer and superb band to help members dance the whole night away.

Enjoy your visit to the website which contains writeups on all the events - and do take the time to go to the video page below to see the many recordings from the events. You'll need broadband and Windows Media player installed to see these excellent widescreen videos.
