Business Banking
On 30th September 2011 Mid Norfolk FSB, in partnership with Chloe Smith MP, invited representatives from the local business banking community to hear first-hand, and respond to, FSB members concerns relating to business banking today.
We heard of a number of member issues
- the turgid and expensive process of trying to do business transactions involving foreign currencies
- the general feeling of "insignificance"
- unable to open a business account
- loan decisions being made centrally rather than locally
These issues have been taken up by bank reps, who have agreed to report back at our next meeting early Jan 2012.
The bank representatives were:-
- Barclays Richard Pearce Branch Manager Whitefriars, 3 St James Court, Norwich 07500 782 998
- Barclays Glen Webster Area Business Manager 298 Aylsham Road, Norwich 07775 544 501 glen.webster@barclays.com
- Barclays Mark Suthem Head of Barclays Business 9 High Street, Grays, Essex 07775 543 752 mark.suthem@barclays.com
- Lloyds Lee Williams Relationship Manager 16 Gentlemans Walk, Norwich 01603 701 380 lee.williams@bb.lloydstsb.co.uk
- NatWest Simon Lubbock Director, Business Banking 1 Broadland Business Park, Norwich 01603 703 145 simon.lubbock@rbs.co.uk
