Notts & Derbys Homepage

Notts and Derbys Mission

To be the leading proactive lobbying organisation in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire working on behalf of small businesses.

The regional and branch committee members work hard to achieve the Mission, but cannot do it without the support of other Members in all areas. If you would like to help, even if it is just by completing a short quarterly survey on how your business is developing (or coping), please contact Jan Stanley (details at bottom of page)

Other ways you could help could include:

  • Writing to your MP on key issues affecting businesses in your area.

  • Attending meetings with public sector authorities who have the power and budgets to affect the local economic climate in which we operate.

Providing case studies or quaotations for press articles.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Many of our members join for the access it gives them to the unique FSB services, but there can be a lot more to being an FSB member than that.

We have six branches putting on a range of interesting meetings and events throughout the year. Visit your branch's page to find out more.

Also check out the regional events page for news of informative, social and networking events for the next few months.

    Going for Growth front cover

FSB Notts and Derbys Region has joined with its colleagues in FSB Lincs and Leices/Northants/Rutland to produce a document designed to influence local authorities and other public bodies. The plans, policies and initiatives of these authorities have considerable impact on the ability of small businesses to operate and grow in the Region. The booklet will be an invaluable lobbying tool and is available to all interested members in the Region.

Download a copy by clicking on the image opposite, or please e mail your address details and a hard copy will be sent to you.

    KEEP TRADE LOCAL

Following on from the successful mass lobby of Parliament on 13th March the FSB has launched a year-long campaign to get the message across to the government that there needs to be a radical re-think on retail policy if we are going to be able to keep our independent retailers. KTL logo

Please sign the FSB's petition at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/keeptradelocal/ or print off copies of the petition to distribute to contacts. Please send completed forms to Jan Stanley who will collate and send on to the London Office.
