 South Wales region (which includes mid Wales) has a vibrant cultural life and two official languages.
The area offers fantastic views, beautiful beaches, historic castles, exciting cities, eisteddfodau, bog snorkelling, jazz and book festivals, Welsh choirs, mining traditions, fertile farming, good food and plenty more besides – in fact something for everyone.

FSB need your signature at their exhibition stand Royal Welsh Show 08
This year's Royal Welsh Show will be held on 21st to 24th July at the usual venue in Llanelwedd. This year the FSB South Wales Region will be exhibiting at stand D305 and are seeking your help to support the 'Trade Local' campaign by signing our petition which will be submitted to 10 Downing Street later in the year. BSBC Awards Regional Final Result
The Regional Winner of the British Small Business Champions for Wales was announced on 10th July at the St Davids Hotel and Spa in Cardiff Bay at a glittering awards ceremony. The winning small business was Castle Fine Arts Foundry Ltd who produce cast bronze statues and special commissions. They take home a cheque for £1000 and are automatically entered as a finalist in the National Competition to be held in London on 21st Novembers 2008. Cllr Rodney Berman, leader of Cardiff City Council, was among the prestigeous guests attending and who was able to enjoy Tyrone O' Sullivan's speech . The BSBC awards are organised by the FSB and have been running since 2002.
FSB launches Welsh Local Government Manifesto
With the local Council elections on the hoizon the FSB Welsh Policy Unit have launched the Manifesto for the Local Authority Election 2008. Attended by representatives of the Welsh Local Government Association the launch, at City Hall, Cardiff, took place on 15th April "This Manifesto is the result of months of painstaking work by the Policy team , on behalf of FSB members here in Wales" explains Janet Jones, the Welsh Policy Chair, "we intend to use it to call for a better deal for small businesses who are now the main drivers in our country's economy".
